Fort Gordon Glow Run 5K and 3K

Fort Gordon Run Series

Participants will make their way on a route which will begin 25th Street at Barton Field (check in is at the Sotball complex on Barton Field).

 

The Fort Gordon Glow Run 5k lights up the night in a 5k event designed for people of all ages and athletic abilities. Runners and walkers alike are welcome to join in for an evening filled with glow sticks, black lights, and music.

 

Pre-Party

 

Arrive early for the pre-party. The pre-party will feature music, face painting, GLOW ZUMBA and more!

The event will take place on 20 August 2016.  The starting time is 8:30pm.

 

Race Site – 25th Street and Barton Field (check in at the Softball Complex on Barton Field)

Parking – Along Barton Field, Indoor Pool, Signal Theater, Luketina Hall, and Snyder Dental

Directions – Go through Gate 1.  Take Chamberlain to 25th Street and turn left.  Race begins on 25th Street between the two sides of Barton Field

Awards – Top 3 Overall (M/F) and Top 3 in Age Categories (M/F)

 

Finisher medals will be presented at the completion of the event.

Event Pricing:

  • Non-competitive participants and Children 12 & under: Free (not eligible for chip timing or awards)
  • Competitive participants: (includes chip timing and Awards)
    • 13-17: $5 per participant
    • 18 and over: $10 per participant
    • **12 & Under, if they choose to be timed, Free

First 500 pre-registrants will receive a free t-shirt. All others can purchase shirts online at $15 per shirt.

– All runs are open to the general public. Individuals who do not possess a Department of Defense (DoD) ID card will be permitted entrance onto the installation.

The first 500 pre-registered runners will receive a t-shirt for that run (must be registered >19 days prior to event).  Shirts will not be mailed out to athletes who do not attend.
– All running organizations are invited and must be pre-registered for the event.
– All runs feature male and female divisions in various age categories.
– Awards ceremony will follow the event.
– All timing chips are embedded in the back of your run number. Please wear this run number on the front of your body, on the outermost layer of clothing so it is visible as you cross the finish line.  There is no chip collection upon finishing the event.
Pre-Registration:
Online pre-registrations will close at 5 p.m. 3 days prior to the run date.
